The “Monthly almanac” lays out a whole month; click a cell to jump to it. “Lunar to solar lookup” works the other way round. “Lunar festival lookup” lists the exact solar dates of Chinese New Year, Lantern, Dragon Boat, Qixi, Mid-Autumn, Double Ninth, Laba and New Year’s Eve for the chosen year.
FAQ
Why can the pillars disagree with other sources?
Here the year pillar changes at the first day of the lunar new year, the common folk convention. Some schools of Chinese astrology change it at the Start of Spring instead, so a date close to the boundary can carry a different year pillar. If you follow the solar-term convention, compare the Start of Spring date for that year yourself.
How are leap months marked?
A lunar year normally has twelve months and roughly every nineteen years it gains an extra leap month. The “Leap month” row states whether the selected year has one and which month it is; the month grid labels it as “Leap month N”.
Is the data accurate?
The lunar data uses the standard compressed calendar table for 1900 to 2100, cross-checked against each year’s Chinese New Year date, known leap months and day-pillar reference points, plus a 3,000-date round-trip consistency test between the solar and lunar calendars.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server, so it works offline too.
Why does the day pillar roll over at 23:00?
The Zi hour spans 23:00 to 00:59 and crosses midnight. Charts traditionally either change the day at that point or keep it. This tool uses the more common changing convention, so after 23:00 the day pillar already belongs to the next day.

A worked example
Looking up Chinese New Year 2024: enter 2024-02-10 and you get “甲辰年 正月初一”, year pillar 甲辰, zodiac Dragon, day pillar 甲辰 — and the month grid flags the same day as “Spring Festival”.
Things to watch
The year pillar changes at the first day of the lunar new year; under the solar-term convention used by some schools, January and early February dates can land in a different pillar year.
A leap month appears roughly every 19 years and adds an extra “Leap month N” — missing it shifts every later date by a month.
The Zi hour crosses midnight (23:00 to 00:59); this tool rolls the day over at that point, so after 23:00 the day pillar already belongs to the next day.
The supported range is 31 Jan 1900 to 31 Dec 2100; outside it there is no reliable lunar table and the page says so instead of guessing.

Why are some years unavailable?
The leap-month cycle itself drifts, and old almanacs disagree about distant years, so this tool only covers the standard table from 1900 to 2100.
Does the page give fortune or lucky-unlucky readings?
No. The page only converts between calendars and states objective correspondences — it makes no fortune or auspiciousness claims.
