Frames
Engine-free fast mode: no processing engine to download, frames are grabbed directly. Great for short clips and reaction GIFs; use the Video Toolbox for longer clips, trimming or compression.
Processed locally in your browser
How do I use this?
After loading a video, "Frames / screenshots" exports a single frame or a batch (evenly spaced or one per second) as images and can pack them into a ZIP; "Quick GIF" grabs the chosen range at your fps and combines it into an animated GIF. Both run entirely in your browser — no engine download, no uploads.
FAQ
How is this different from the video toolbox?
This is the engine-free fast mode: it reads frames straight off the timeline without downloading a processing engine, so it starts in seconds. It suits grabbing a few stills or making a short GIF. For editing, transcoding, compression or subtitles, use the video toolbox instead.
Which video formats are supported?
Anything your browser can play, and MP4, WebM, MOV, M4V and MKV all work in practice. Whether a file opens depends on whether your browser ships the matching decoder.
How many frames can a batch export produce?
There is a frame cap; beyond it you are asked to shorten the time range or lower the frame rate. Every frame has to be decoded and painted to a canvas, so sampling is dense on short clips and better done in segments on long ones.
Are the exported stills any good?
They are pulled at the video native resolution with no downscaling or recompression, so they match the source quality. Compress them afterwards if you need smaller files.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The file stays local to your browser; reading and frame extraction never touch a server.
