What is this?
Masking replaces the middle digits with *, e.g. 13812345678 → 138****5678, while an ID keeps the first 6 and last 4. Great for redacting logs, lists and tickets without leaking privacy.
FAQ
Does name masking affect normal text?
Name masking is off by default because it treats any 2–4 consecutive Chinese characters as a name (surname + * + given name). Only enable it when the text is mostly names.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
