What is this?
The first 6 digits are the region code, the next 8 are the birth date, the 17th digit is odd for male / even for female, and the last digit is a checksum of the first 17. This tool only validates format and checksum in your browser and keeps nothing.

注意事项Things to watch
- 校验位用的是 ISO 7064（MOD 11-2）加权算法，随便改一位数字必然对不上。The check digit follows ISO 7064 (MOD 11-2), so altering any digit breaks it.
- 前 6 位是行政区划代码，历史上撤并过的地区可能查不到对应地名。The first six digits are an administrative code; merged or retired regions may not resolve to a name.
- 号码只在本地解析、不上传；涉及实名业务请以官方核验接口为准。Numbers are parsed locally and never uploaded; for identity checks use an official verification service.
