What can this tool do?
Paste page source or tagged rich text and get clean plain text in one click: all HTML tags are removed, with the option to drop script/style code as well (on by default so scripts do not leak into the text), and entities such as &, < and   are decoded. You can choose whether block-level tags become line breaks and whether runs of spaces and blank lines are collapsed. The panel shows the output length and how many tags were removed, so you can judge how aggressive the cleanup is, and the output is one click to copy. Everything runs locally.
FAQ
Why drop script content?
Even though script and style sit inside tags, removing the tags leaves their code behind as plain text, which pollutes the body. The default drops them; untick it if you do want that code text.
Do paragraph breaks and whitespace collapsing conflict?
No. Keeping paragraph breaks turns block-level tags into line breaks; collapsing whitespace only squeezes repeated spaces and tabs within a line and removes extra blank lines. Combine them as needed.
