Hello world hello WORLD user_name = admin user_email = a@b.com

Rules

In regex mode use $1 and $2 to reference capture groups, e.g. replacing a user_-prefixed field with $1 removes the prefix.

What can this tool do?

Paste your text on the left and set the find and replace values to rewrite it in bulk: with regex off it replaces literal occurrences; with regex on you can batch-process and use $1 / $2 capture groups to rearrange content (normalise prefixes, extract fields, redact phone numbers or emails). Toggle case-sensitivity and whole-word matching, see a live match count and highlighted hits on the right, then copy the result or move it back to the source for the next pass. Everything runs locally.

FAQ

How do I write a regex replacement?

With regex on, the find box is parsed as a pattern. Parentheses become capture groups referenced as $1, $2 in the replace box — for example, matching an email pattern and replacing with $2@$1.com swaps the local part and domain.

Why is the match count zero?

Usually either case sensitivity is on while the text differs in case, or special characters are unescaped in the pattern. Relax the toggles one at a time to find the cause.
