What does this tool do?
It maps image brightness to characters: dense glyphs for dark areas, sparse glyphs for bright areas, forming a recognizable picture. A higher width is finer; the Detailed charset gives richer gradation; Invert fits dark backgrounds; Color paints each glyph with the original pixel color. The result is plain text you can paste anywhere.
