ICON GENERATOR
Icon generator, one image, every size.
Upload a square image or generate straight from text / emoji, then export Favicon (multi-size .ico + full PWA kit), iOS, Android adaptive, macOS, Xcode AppIcon.appiconset, watchOS, tvOS and Windows sets, all zipped. Everything runs locally in your browser.
iOS Dark / Tinted are the “alternate appearances” from iOS 18+ icon personalization; drop them into Xcode’s App Icon asset as Alternate Appearances.

How do I use the icon generator?
Pick a square image or use “Text / emoji” to make one from a letter/emoji and palette. The same artwork is scaled to every platform size: Favicon gives 16/32/48/64/128/180/256 PNGs plus a multi-size .ico and the full PWA kit (favicon.svg, site.webmanifest, apple-touch-icon); iOS, Android (with adaptive foreground/background layers) and macOS each get their own set; the iOS tab emits a ready-to-drop AppIcon.appiconset (with Contents.json), and Dark / Tinted are iOS 18+ alternate appearances; watchOS and tvOS are covered too, all zipped. “Cover” crops to fill; “Contain” keeps the whole graphic on a solid background; “Safe zone” avoids the subject being clipped by rounded masks. One click downloads them into your project. The macOS tab also exports a native macos.icns for the Finder “Get Info” pane or Xcode.
What do I do with the files?
Unzip the download and drop each set where that platform expects it. Below are the integration snippets people ask about most.
Web: add these to your HTML head
<link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico" sizes="any">
<link rel="icon" type="image/svg+xml" href="/favicon.svg">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/apple-touch-icon.png">
<link rel="manifest" href="/site.webmanifest">For the full size and purpose chart see the Favicon size reference; if your icon does not change after editing, it is almost always caching — add a version query or hard-reload.
iOS: drop it into Assets.xcassets
1. 解压得到 AppIcon.appiconset/
2. 拖入 Assets.xcassets(替换同名 AppIcon)
3. Target → General → App Icons 确认名称为 AppIcon
4. 上架时 App Store 使用 1024×1024 营销图(不可带 alpha)The complete idiom / size list and a troubleshooting table live on the AppIcon.appiconset reference page.
Android: adaptive icons
The Android tab emits a foreground layer plus a solid background layer. The system scales the foreground into the middle 80% safe zone and crops it to the device shape, so leave generous margins; the monochrome icon is for themed icons on Android 13+.

FAQ
Does the source image have to be square?
A square image is strongly recommended — otherwise “Cover” crops the sides off. Crop to a square first with the image cropper, or use “Contain”, which keeps the whole graphic on a solid background.
When should I turn on “Safe zone”?
iOS always masks icons with its own rounded corners and Android crops adaptive icons, so keep the subject within the middle ~80%. Text-based icons need it most, otherwise the outer letters get clipped.
What is the difference between “Download all (ZIP)” and per-tab downloads?
“Download all (ZIP)” bundles the seven common platforms (Favicon / iOS / Android / macOS / watchOS / tvOS / Windows). iOS Dark and Tinted are iOS 18+ alternate appearances and need their own tab.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All scaling, encoding and zipping happen locally in your browser; the original never leaves your device and is gone once you close the page.
Can I upload an SVG?
As long as your browser can decode it (PNG / JPG / WebP / AVIF and so on). SVG is vector, so the browser renders it once and rasterises at each size, which usually gives the cleanest edges.
