What can this tool do?
Four modes cover the usual trigonometry work: get sin, cos, tan and their reciprocals sec, csc, cot for any angle, switching freely between degrees and radians; convert a ratio back to an angle with the inverse functions (with a choice of output unit); solve a right triangle from two legs to get the hypotenuse and both acute angles; or apply the Pythagorean theorem. The panel lists common-angle values for quick mental checks. Everything runs locally.
FAQ
How do I convert degrees and radians?
Radians = degrees × pi / 180, and degrees = radians × 180 / pi. So 180 degrees is pi radians and 90 degrees is pi/2 radians. In Trig functions mode you can pick the input unit directly.
Why does tan sometimes show infinity?
At 90 degrees (and multiples of 180), cosine is zero, so tan = sin / cos is undefined. The page shows infinity to signal that no finite value exists at that angle.
